Indian women's national team goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan has signed for Iceland's third division side Hamar Hveragerdi, the All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced on Thursday.

A regular with the national team, Aditi has been part of the SAFF Women's Championship-winning teams on three occasions. In her most recent exploits with the national team, she featured in two international friendlies where the Indians lost to Uzbekistan and Belarus 1-0 and 2-1 respectively.

Aditi's club career has seen her feature for West Ham United Ladies in England for two seasons, although on a semi-professional level as she was pursuing her MSc in Sports Management from the Loughborough University in London. More recently, she was part of Gokulam Kerala FC that won the Indian Women's League in 2020.

The 28-year-old follows in the footsteps of fellow India international Bala Devi, who plies her trade at Scottish club Rangers Women’s FC.
